You’re probably here because you’re on the fence about the Erin Condren Teacher Planner. It’s a pricey planner, but you get what you pay for. The Erin Condren Teacher Planner is by far the most comprehensive teacher planner I’ve purchased. If you do decide it’s the right planner for you, you can get $10 off using my referral link!

After I bought the Erin Condren Life Planner earlier this year to try to organize my chaotic life, I knew I was going to need the teacher planner as well! I wanted a place to keep my school calendar, lesson plans, and student info without having to clutter up my personal planner. As teachers, we know how hard it can be to keep our personal life and work life separate.

I was really excited to see that the teacher planner is much larger than the life planner. I like to keep the life planner in my purse, but I want a lot more space for lesson planning in my teacher planner. I also love the double sided folder that’s included to store papers in. I’m currently keeping any important memos and paperwork in mine so that it’s not all floating around my classroom.

The other included parts of the teacher planner are:

  • A two-page spread for yearly planning
  • Weekly lesson plan pages for up to 7 different periods/subjects
  • Monthly calendars to fill in important dates
  • Attendance ages
  • Student checklist pages
  • Substitute info page

I ordered the “ready to ship” teacher planner, so I don’t have a customized cover yet, but it did come with a code for a free one. I recommend that you order your customized cover all at once because when you use your free cover code, you have to pay shipping again. That isn’t a problem for me since I order EC planners for myself and as gifts (or giveaway items) pretty often, but it may be an issue if you aren’t planning on making another order soon.

It’s a pretty large planner, which I really like. I keep it on my desk with basic emergency sub plans in the folder (photo above) and the actual day’s plans written in the weekly plan area. This really helps my class stay on track if I can’t come in for some reason, and makes it a lot easier on me because it’s there and ready to go! I don’t do fancy sub tubs… the kids do what I already have planned for that day if I’m out (I keep my materials in a Monday-Friday bin organizer).

Just remember that this is the only planner you’ll need all year. It’s sturdy and will hold A LOT. With the size and what’s included, it’s well worth the price!
