Job Description

Do you love creating resources for your classroom from scratch? If so, this job may be a great fit for you! We are looking for a resource creator to work closely with us to create quality ELA materials for middle school teachers. We will provide you with a template and very specific directions to follow, and you’ll be able to apply your expertise and creativity within the template.

We are looking for someone who has taught ELA in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, with at least 5+ years experience in those grade levels. You must feel confident with creating standard-aligned content for these grade levels.

The chosen candidate must be available for our initial curriculum team meeting, which we will work around your teaching schedule if necessary. All other hours you work will be flexible with firm deadlines.

Compensation & Perks

Per Project Payment: Pay is per completed project, and the scope of the project varies. Project rates vary from $150-$1200/project, and each project rate will be agreed upon before starting. Most of our curriculum creators find that their hourly rate ends up being between $30-$40/hour.

This is a remote job with a lot of flexibility. We will set deadlines, and you can complete the work on your own timeline.

Our curriculum team also gets access to our entire library of educational resources, courses, and programs. You can use any of our resources for free when you work for us!

We also love to celebrate our team members. That means birthday gifts, praise, coffee on us, and other fun stuff. In May, we did a private team baking class on Zoom with a professional baker!

Hiring Process

Part of the interview process will include a short resource creation assignment. Please check your email carefully after the job posting closes. You do not want to miss if you were selected for this assignment! Final candidates will be interviewed for this position via video chat after a review of the assignment. The work will be looked at for quality, communication, and timeliness in completing the project.

In your cover letter below, write a few sentences about your experience creating resources for your students and why you feel confident creating curriculum to be used in thousands of classrooms. What makes you an expert in curriculum creation + what design skills do you bring to the table? Please do not insert a standard formal letter into the cover letter box.
