This is a 5-day unit covering Greek & Latin roots, prefixes, and suffixes. In this week-long unit, students will learn what a root word is and break words down into their suffixes, prefixes, and roots to determine the word meaning. Students will learn what root words and affixes are, how to determine meaning using prefixes and suffixes, and practice finding examples of Greek and Latin roots in their own reading.
This unit also includes bonus interactive notebook pages for teachers who prefer to keep and use interactive notebooks throughout the year.
