This is a year-long library of spelling lists, spelling activities, and vocabulary activities for 3rd grade. These activities are perfect for reading centers, independent work, word work, or homework.
Included in the completed resource:
- 36 spelling lists with 10 words per list
- 24 vocabulary activities
- 24 spelling activities
These spelling and vocabulary activities are designed to be completed by students independently and used with any word list, making this a perfect resource for your reading rotations or other independent work time. These activities can be used with words from any district-required reading program or another list that you have created for your students. If you do not have required word lists, spelling lists are provided and can be used with this resource as well.
The answer keys provided in this resource can be used as examples to support students with independent work. I recommend teaching students how to complete one page at a time before releasing them to complete these activities independently.
These spellings lists were created using commonly misspelled words, commonly taught grade-level phonics patterns, and grade-appropriate high-frequency words. These lists can be used as is; they are ready to print off and use. The lists are fully editable in both the printable and digital versions if you need to edit these lists to fit your needs.
There’s no extra planning or prep work for this resource! Just read the directions and your vocabulary and spelling work is set up for the year!
