This resource covers quoting text and speeches, including how to write a quote within a quote. Struggling to find time to teach grammar? My 4th and 5th grade ‘Grammar Tidbits’ lessons are exactly what you need! This 5 day unit includes five 10 minute grammar lessons & activities.
Day 1: Mini-Lesson with Anchor Chart
Draw it yourself, or print the outline on drafting paper for cheap! You don’t need to spend a ton of time creating your own anchor chart. It’s all done for you! It also comes with a matching student page for your students to take their notes on.
Day 2: Team Match/Sort Game
On day 2, your students will use their notes from day 1 in a quick, collaborative sorting game. This game is meant to encourage discussion on the rules of the grammar standard.
Day 3 & 4: Practice Pages
Two half-page practices are included, so that students can get the experience they need with this concept.
Day 5: Formative Assessment
This quick 5-problem assessment will give you an idea of how each student is doing with the concept.
