Description

This engaging, 5-day unit will introduce your students to a variety of fables and folktales while teaching about themes found in stories and literature.

 

This read aloud unit uses commonly known fables and folktales to teach theme. Students will practice determining the theme of multiple fables and folktales as they work through this unit and master the concept of theme.

 

This unit has pages for a student booklet and interactive notebook elements so it can be used for a variety of instructional methods.

    Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons. Introduce the topic or text they are writing about, state an opinion, and create an organizational structure that lists reasons. Provide reasons that support the opinion.
